Blog Journal #6
Throughout my early experience using Diigo, I have found no trouble at all and really enjoy its ability to highlight and annotate information efficiently. It is also very easy to organize the pages and bookmark the work you have done. I will say, I tried to use the mobile app and found some difficulty navigating. The website version is much better.
I have thoroughly enjoyed blogging in this class. While we do have prompts, I feel free to write however I please. I have learned a great skill in organization because I need to write, post, and then share my work in a certain fashion. This has helped beyond blogging. In terms of the blogging, I have learned how to write in a way that is entertaining. I am not looking to write crazy informative paragraphs, but more just how I feel. There is emotion in the writing, and this is what I greatly enjoy about it.
A webtool that I used in high school but have not touched in my college experience is OneNote. OneNote was great for classes and organizing work into sections according to what I needed. Each class had its own “notebook” and inside of these were more detailed pages and links for assignments and studying. I had a Microsoft Surface Pro and the ability to use the touchscreen was highly important in this facet.
I really liked this take on the Diigo experience. You really put into words a great deal of information. I, too, enjoy the ability to write in a free way that is open to the writers own hopes.
