Copyright is the legal protection of intellectual property. This is used to protect the rights of the owner and prevent any sort of infringement.  There are, of course, exceptions to this rule. If you legal attain copyrighted information through legally purchasing the information or obtaining permission from the owner. Without obtaining it legally, there are still ways in which you can use the information. Some exceptions are the use of the information such as using it in a non-commercial way. Another exception is the copyright work is factual instead of creative. You can also take excerpts from the book without taking all the work.

As time goes on, our technology use has changed greatly, for better and worse. We use computers and other forms of technology in schools as this is what children have grown up on and gotten accustomed to. Some problems that stem from this new use include decreased productivity and academic dishonesty. Now I have some solutions to solving this decreased productivity including putting time constraints on the amount of time spent using technology. While it can be beneficial in some respects, it is not always necessary. Students should be taking handwritten notes to prevent any sort of distraction, along with the fact that it is good for memorization. In terms of committing academic dishonesty, my solution would be to have assignments in person and on paper. This prevents any sort of looking up answers. For homework though, I will permit technology use and make the assignments with the expectation that resources will be used.

While working on the newsletter design, I gained much experience with Microsoft Word and all the tools that it has to offer. For example, I learned a new tool to split the text and make two columns. I can always improve my learning by experience. The more I use word, the better I will become at it. I did not add a cutoff sheet, but this is something I can do in the future. Overall, word will be helpful in my career to create things such as Newsletters. Even if I do not create a newsletter, the different tools can always come in handy to promote creativity.
